I hope you are loving these crazy spring days... it's one moment sunny, the next pouring rain around here! Just last week I released a new Lucente Skye single, "Clouds in my Mind." I'm releasing a song every 3 weeks from my album Discovering Peace.
Lucente Skye is my artist profile name for solo piano music, and my goal with these recordings is to provide a listening space for meditation, mindfulness and stress reduction.
"Clouds in my Mind" is about the acceptance of passing thoughts in our minds to bring about a sense of calm. As you listen, breathe deeply and allow the chaos in your mind to float by, rather than swirl.
I took the photo for the artwork at one of my favorite spots along the Deschutes River Trail in central Oregon. The puffy floaty clouds seemed just right for the mindfulness practice in this song.
Listen to Lucente Skye on all the streaming platforms. Please FOLLOW Lucente Skye on Spotify, so every time a song releases, it will join your Release Radar. (The next one will be out on May 17!)
My Patreon community keeps growing! This is where I share new music exclusively, more in-depth stories behind the songs, special concert invitations, and behind-the-scenes things. All are welcome. :)

In this multi-media event, we celebrate mothers through a combination of classical and modern music, poetry, and a fascinating look into all the ways that motherhood changes the brains of both mothers and children throughout their lives. I am so thrilled to have both of my original songs about motherhood included in this show - "Four leaf clovers" and "Forevermore" - accompanied by orchestra! It's going to be SO FUN. Hope you can make it. GET TICKETS
And then 2 days later... it's a concert of lullabies with the Oregon Symphony!

About this photo - all of the Lullaby Project singer-songwriters and Oregon Symphony musicians recently had our recording studio day for the new batch of lullabies we created this year with the parents at Path Home Family Shelter. It is always such a meaningful and gorgeous project, and I'm so grateful for it. We hope you can come hear all the lullabies on May 14!
Recent Highlight:
Last month the She's Speaking LIVE ensemble wrapped up a big run of shows in the Pacific Northwest, and it was such a blast! Making music with that many incredible women is a life-changing experience - for everyone in the audience and all of us on stage! Thanks to everyone that came out to bask in the beautiful light of feminine energy and power.
As always, I love hearing from you - if you come to a show, please come say hi! And wherever you are, may the music flow and may you find ways to keep your spirits lifted.
Yours in song,
naomi
