Autumn is glorious here in Oregon. Vibrant colors abound as the trees let go of their leaves. I hope you are finding peace wherever you are. Our world has not been an easy place. Challenging times always remind us of the necessity of art, and may we find hope in every single effort to create beauty and connection.
Many of you have shared with me about how my Lucente Skye album Discovering Peace is helping you with anxiety, stress and sadness. Keep on listening, it's here for you.
My big news to share this month - the launch of the next Lucente Skye album, Oregon Landscapes. The first song, "Moraine Lake," released on streaming platforms today, Friday, November 8!
The music for "Moraine Lake" captures both the stillness of water and the majesty of mountains, through melodies that gently cascade through major 7ths and flowing arpeggios. May it remind you of the way nature's beauty can feed and calm your spirit.
Also available now at my website shop, the sheet music for "Moraine Lake."
This piece is intermediate and accessible to many levels of piano playing ability. May it bring you delight to create the music with your own fingers!
I am incredibly grateful to Oregonian artist Lindsay Gilmore for the inspiration her paintings provide for these songs, and that she is generously allowing me to share them as the artwork with the songs as they release! Oregon Repertory Singers "Glory of Christmas"

The choir has me back at the piano and harpsichord with them this December for a concert of great holiday classics by Handel, Berlioz, and Poulenc, as well as two of my choral compositions, "Noel" and "Angel in the Snow."
RECENT HIGHLIGHTS
Last month involved fun and inspiring travels, including my first trip to music city... Nashville!
I heard some amazing blues players (which made me positively giddy... see photo above), attended an incredible John Prine tribute/benefit concert at the Ryman, caught a show at the iconic Bluebird Cafe, and was very inspired by a writers-round called "Song Suffragettes" featuring female singer-songwriters at the Listening Room.
SO inspired, that I want to start a "Song Suffragettes PNW" right here in the Pacific Northwest. Stay tuned for all my plans and schemes to come, and please reach out if you'd like to be a corporate sponsor or get involved!
November is gratitude season. As we turn toward these shorter days and darker, colder nights, I am so thankful for the vital connections that music and art bring into my life, for new opportunities, and for your support throughout my creative journey.
